Privacy Policy

WhiskeyRiver.io is operated by Whiskey River Media ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use whiskeyriver.io, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and specific on purpose.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Email sign-ups (playbooks, newsletter): your email address and, if you provide it, your first name.
• Audit and contact forms, such as the AI Shelf Audit: name, email, phone number (optional), company or brand name, and website.
• Booking a call: the details you enter in the scheduler, such as name, email, phone and the time you pick.
• Replies and messages you send us, such as naming a competitor for your audit.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs from our hosting provider: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. Used to keep the site running and secure.
• One functional cookie that remembers you've unlocked a gated playbook, so you don't have to sign up twice. Some pages also use your browser's local or session storage to remember progress in a tool. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels on this site.
• Form attribution: when you submit a form, our CRM records the page you submitted from and basic browser details.

How we use it

• Deliver what you asked for: the playbook, the audit, the call.
• Send emails related to your request, and our newsletter if you signed up for it.
• Follow up about your audit or booked call.
• Send text messages only if you checked a box agreeing to receive them (see Text messages below).
• Keep the site secure and working, and understand which content is useful.

When you request an audit, we look up how AI tools describe your brand using public information. We don't need or ask for access to your accounts.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use a small set of service providers who process data on our behalf:

WhiskeyRiver.io is part of a small group of related brands run by the same team, including Whiskey River Media. If you request an audit or book a call, Whiskey River Media may follow up with you about it. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages on one of our forms, we use your number to send the messages you agreed to. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. We do not share or sell your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Opting in is never required to get an audit or a playbook.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it.
• Stop texts by replying STOP.
• Ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing zach@whiskeyriver.io. We'll respond within 30 days.
• Cookies: you can clear or block them in your browser. A gated playbook may ask you to sign up again.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. Email us and we'll honor the requests your law gives you.

How long we keep it

We keep contact and audit information while we have an active relationship with you, and delete or anonymize it when it's no longer needed, or when you ask us to, unless we have to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.

Security

We use reputable providers and limit who on our team can access your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is for business owners and isn't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
